Introduction

Mountainous Austria is a country that offers itself to visitors from its best all year round. The elegant Austrian cities are always worth a visit, and in both summer and winter the landscapes of Austria is beautifully colored in either white or green.

Vienna is one of Europe's beautiful and historically significant capitals with beautiful architecture in not least Baroque and Art Nouveau style. The classical music and Vienna Waltz are also at home here; just as you can taste the original Sachertorte.

Austria's other cities are full of culture, events, grace and unforgettable experiences. Salzburg and Innsbruck are the most well-known provincial cities and are very well-visited, but also Graz, Linz, Klagenfurt and other places are worth a visit or two to see all sides of Austrian city scapes.

The nature of Austria is dominated by the Alps to the west, and it is obvious for skiing holidays down the many slopes. In the summer, the mountains are ideal for hiking and biking or just relaxing - just like a river cruise on the Danube that crosses the country and the plains to the east.
