Introduction

The Czech Republic is one of Central Europe's most insteresting countries, and the capital of Prague one of the most beautiful cities in the region and throughout Europe. The country lies between mountains and rivers, and you are never far away from beautiful scenery when in any of the nice Czech towns.

Prague is romantic, and nothing hardly feels better than a stroll in the evening light on the world famous Charles Bridge. The bridge connects Prague's old town with the new town and the large castle area on the very top of town, where the Vitus Cathedral overlooks the city.

The Czech provincial cities are also very attractive. You will notice this in both major cities such as Brno and České Budějovice and smaller towns such as Telc and Karlovy Vary. Everywhere you are greeted by hospitality, a beautiful city center, tasty food and good beer.

The nature of the Czech Republic is varied. You can almost jump over the Elbe at Kuks, while the countryside invites you for mountain hiking and winter sports in the mountains along the border with Poland, where the towns are lovely resort with many outdoor activities.
