Lusaka is the capital of Zambia, and there is both a metropolitan atmosphere on the main Cairo Road and a relaxed atmosphere in the neighborhoods around the city center. You can visit an informative cultural village, Zambia's fine national museum, several monuments and a number of buildings from the British era.

There are several interesting cities around Zambia. It is easy get around by buses to explore the countryside and villages, and a popular trip is the one between Lusaka and Livingstone. Livingstone has a great atmosphere with a mix of colonial times and modern-day Zambia.

On the border between Zambia and Zimbabwe is the colossal Lake Kariba, one of the world's largest artificial lakes. Wildlife abounds here, as it does around world famous Victoria Falls. The large waterfalls south of Livingstone are one of Africa's greatest natural wonders and are alone worth the trip the Zambia.
